Emily's Wedding

I love it when I can talk makeup with my brides and my girls. So I was ecstatic when I met Emily and found out that she was another makeup addict and also watched endless hours of youtube makeup gurus.
I did her makeup a few times before her big day, so we were both excited the day the wedding finally arrived. We had discussed details and decided to do a look with pink tones but not too natural looking. I also had the honor of doing the makeup for the maid of honor (MOH) and mother of the bride (MOB)

Dania's E-Pics

Upon meeting Dania and her fiance, Lian, I felt welcomed into their home as if I had been a long time friend. As soon as we sat down and started working on the makeup, Dania and I were gossiping and telling life stories like old girlfriends catching up. She was such a sweetheart and I am looking forward to sharing her special day with her.

Dania explained to me that she wanted a natural look but still noticeable that she was wearing makeup. I decided to use a dark brown on her lids to make her eyes pop and keep the overall look very warm, with peach on her cheeks and lips, considering that the shoot was during the day.

These gorgeous pictures were taken by Gloria Ruth. I love how natural and effortless the pictures look and the love between Dania and Lian is obvious. (click on the pic for better quality) :

You can't really see the makeup in this next picture, but it was too awesome to not post!

Maria's Wedding ... and Update!

Hello everyone!
I know how long its been since I have updated my blog and there are zero justifications for my actions. Yes I have been busy but part of the reason why I have not updated is because I have been depending on other people for pictures to post and had not received anything. So I will start taking my own camera again. But I promise more blog posting and more updates on Facebook! I have been keeping up with my research and have learned about new products and new techniques that I am really excited to start using. With that lets get on to the makeup ...

I had alot of fun doing Maria's wedding, mainly because she was such a sweet heart and her bridesmaids were hilarious. But also because her color scheme was one of my favorites: navy blue and fuchsia. I did different looks of blue for the bridesmaids. For the bride and I did a warm, earth tone look and added a touch a black for a little drama and to make it stand out a little bit.

Alessandra

An old friend of mine was getting married and he referred his lovely bride to me. I first met Alessandra when she contacted me to do her makeup for her engagement pics. She was so sweet and such a doll, I instantly liked her. The engagement session went well, so she asked me to do her makeup for her wedding. She is beautiful and has an exotic look so we decided to go more with a subtle dramatic look. She looked gorgeous. I also did her mom's and grandmother's makeup.

The beautiful pictures below were taken by a good friend of mine, Caroline Lamarre , check out her work, she's awesome. (click on the pic for better quality)

Sidnaya's Wedding

One of my favorite things about what I do is all the amazing people I get to meet. I met Sidnaya last year for her trial run and we instantly clicked. She is such a wonderful person, beautiful inside and out, always laughing and really down to earth. I was so excited to see her again for her wedding. She is so naturally pretty, so I kept her makeup very natural just giving her that bride glow, which was an easy task to accomplish.

I also got to meet another amazing couple, Ashley and Phillip from 1313 Photography. They were the photographers and did such an amazing job. I have been a fan of their work for a long time now, they took the pictures below. Check out their blog to see more of their amazing work. (click on the pics for better quality)

Felicia Marie .. taking it way back

Felicia, or as I know her Marie, we met each other in kindergarten (yea that's right, kindergarten!). We were best friends but unfortunately after that year she moved away and we lost contact. Fast forward 23 years later she found me on facebook. She contacted me and of course we remembered each other right away. She asked me to do her makeup for her bridal shower and asked me to do her makeup for her bridesmaids for the day of her wedding.

For her bridal shower, she was wearing a beautiful yellow, golden dress. So for her makeup I did a golden bronzey look.

For the bridesmaids on the day of her wedding, it all started with the dresses. Each girl had a different dress in a different shade of grey. I love that Marie let her bridesmaids pick out dresses based on their own personal style. So using shades of greys, taupe, and a touch of purple that is what I did. I created looks based on their own personal styles.

Joyce's Wedding

I have done makeup for Joyce a few times leading up to her big day. You can see some pictures here and here, So naturally I was excited when her wedding finally arrived. This wedding was extra special because Joyce is a dear friend of mine and all her bridesmaids are also dear friends ... we had a great time.

The bridesmaids were wearing beautiful purple dresses which I was really happy about because I love doing purple makeup for some reason. For the bride I kept it natural and warm and just to enhance her beauty.

The beautiful pictures below were taken by the talented Chelsey Boatwright, check her out. (click on the pic for better quality)
